Eleanor Barker-White lives in Swindon, Wiltshire with her husband, four children and Poppy the dog. She has previously worked with children and families in family courts, His Majesty’s Prison service and children’s charities. Eleanor holds an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa university and has written for TIME, Writer’s Digest and Crime Reads.

MY NAME WAS EDEN, published by Harper North, is her debut novel and was longlisted for the Crime Writer’s Association First Novel Dagger Award.

Her second novel, DIE TRYING – a psychological thriller about love, obsession and the peril of leaving choices to chance – is due out March 2026 and available to pre-order now.
